New Gas Trading Arrangements (NGTA)

The NGTA were introduced in the UK in October 1999 in an attempt to improve the efficiency of the balancing system. The arrangements consist of the on-the-day commodity market (OCM), auctions of entry capacity and improved incentives for shippers to balance their own positions.
