Carbon storage, known as sequestration, aims to stop CO2 from power plant emissionscollecting in the atmosphere. The favoured technique will involve separatingCO2 from the combustion process in the power plant and permanently storing itunderground in oil and gas reservoirs, coal seams and aquifers.
