Energy traders find ETRM systems lacking

Most large banks use multiple ETRM systems

No single off-the-shelf energy trading and risk management (ETRM) system is capable of meeting all the commodity trading requirements of banks and energy market participants, according to Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s global head of commodities trading systems.

Christian Ashworth-Donn said current ETRM software platforms work well for different trading departments, but cannot meet all the requirements of large banks and energy firms.
