Risk manager of the year – retail
Awards 2004
The retail power market has been good to Reliant Resources in the past year. Despite difficult market conditions that saw the Texas-based energy company report an overall loss of $902 million for 2003, the group’s retail arm fared rather better.
The retail division – which comprises Reliant Energy Residential Services, Reliant Energy Business Services and Reliant Energy Solutions (RES) – reported earnings before interest and taxes (Ebit) of $621 million, up from $520 million in 2002.
