CFTC Establishes New Energy Markets Advisory Committee

The Energy Markets Advisory Committee (EMAC) is charged with conducting public meetings and serving as a vehicle for discussion on matters of concern to exchanges, firms, end users and regulators regarding energy markets and their regulation by the CFTC.

It will then submit reports and recommendations to the CFTC based on those discussions.

CFTC Acting Chairman Walter L. Lukken will serve as Chairman of EMAC. In a statement, the CFTC said that other members, to be named at a later date, will
