SEB’s RWAs hit record high on upcoming requirements

Add-on of Skr9 billion helps drive CET1 ratio to lowest since pandemic

Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken (SEB) reported an all-time high of Skr947.9 billion ($86.1 billion) in risk-weighted assets (RWAs) at the end of 2024, up 2.6% from three months earlier.

The Skr24.2 billion rise in RWAs was driven in part by a Skr9.1 billion add-on related to Article 3 of the Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR). This add-on climbed from Skr275 million the previous quarter and is the largest amount on record.
