Retail investors in Asia and Australia have snapped up a wide array of structured credit products over the past two years. And now these products are starting to emerge in Europe’s traditionally equity-focused structured products market. By Patrick Fletcher

Ask retail investors in Europe for a definition of ‘structured products’ and at some point they will probably mention capital-guaranteed notes, most likely referencing one of the half a dozen world equity indexes. Ask the same question in Asia and you may well get an answer that involves structured credit.
