Pioneers Energy finance: BNP Paribas

The success of BNP Paribas in energy financing owes much to the bank's unique organisational structure, believes Matthieu Lacaze, head of commodity structured finance, energy commodities export project (ECEP).

Created in 2002, ECEP brings together under one umbrella BNPP's experience in long-term project finance, export financing services, commodity derivatives and long- and short-term risk management tools.

ECEP is a network of 1,200 specialists providing various banking products to the players
