CFTC accused of ‘double standards’ on compute futures

Duffy question ‘long review’ of CME’s contract when Kalshi already offers similar product

CME chief executive Terry Duffy has accused the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission of applying double standards by blocking its attempts to offer new futures contracts while allowing similar products to be traded on prediction markets.

Last month, the CFTC blocked CME’s attempt to offer 24/7 crude oil futures and is still reviewing the Chicago bourse’s plan to launch compute futures. Meanwhile
