Fitch launches First database upgrade

Fitch Risk launched Version 2.0 of the Financial Institutions Risk Scenario Trends (First) database in August, according to Penny Cagan, the senior vice-president for research at Fitch Risk, and manager of the First database.

"This is the first of our two-part planned enhancements to the database. The second part is scheduled for autumn 2004, and we intend to update it twice a year from then on," says Cagan. The enhancements already completed include an interface with easier access to the database's 4,500 case studies, and a free text searching capability that allows for phrase search. The enhancements added in the autumn would include improved searching, reporting and graphing capabilities.
