What's happening and when
Basel II
• The final version of the Basel II Accord is due to be published by the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS) in late June. Implementation for the BIA and STA is end of 2006, while the deadline for AMA is 2007.
• Since the beginning of the year, the BCBS has published papers on Pillar II, the treatment of expected and unexpected loss in credit risk and securitisation, and Principles for the home-host recognition of AMA op risk capital. In mid-May, it published Consensus achieved
