Dresdner puts focus on public sector

Dresdner Kleinwort has named a new head of global public sector activities, as part of a push into financing, derivatives and capital market work in the sector.

Gianluca Garbi joins from MTS, where he was chief executive and chairman of both the MTS Group and the EuroMTS fixed-income exchange.

Based in London, he reports to the head of global finance, Bertrand Pinel, and to the head of global distribution, Stefan Guetter. He will be responsible for co-ordinating public sector work in debt capital
