Perlet set for retirement

Allianz chief financial officer, Helmut Perlet, is set to retire in August 2009 and will be replaced by Oliver Bate, who is currently chief operating officer at the Munich-based group.

Bate joined Allianz at the start of January 2008, following 15 years working in various capacities at McKinsey & Company, where he became director and head of the European insurance and asset management sector for the consultancy.
