While the first major hurdles for an integrated European electricity market have been tackled, new issues continue to arise from the process, including further development of the intra-day market, the integration of direct current (DC) cables and the preparation of trading strategies post-2014, said panellists at the Energy Risk Europe conference yesterday in London.
