Systemic EU banks had €213bn of loans under moratoria at end-2020

Exposures covered by payment holidays dropped by €115bn in H2

Three per cent of the aggregate loans held by the eight systemically-important banks in the eurozone were under coronavirus-induced payment holidays at end-2020, down from 5% at end-June. However, the share of non-performing loans (NPLs) under payment moratoria increased over this period.
