Easing of euro OTC trade terms anticipated – ECB

Financial strength of counterparties and competitive pressures could cause easing

More banks expect credit conditions for trading euro-denominated over-the-counter derivatives and repo trades will ease rather than tighten in the second quarter – though the majority anticipate no changes, the results of a European Central Bank survey reveal.

Of 28 dealers polled by the ECB earlier this year, 88% of respondents said price and non-price trade terms would likely remain unchanged
