US G-Sibs owned over $50bn of other banks' capital in 2018

BofA Securities held the most of the group at $10.9 billion

The eight US global systemically important banks (G-Sibs) had $50.5 billion invested in the capital instruments of other banks and financial institutions at end-2018. 

BofA Securities held the biggest chunk of this: $10.9 billion. This was an increase from $8.8 billion in 2014. Goldman Sachs had the second largest, at $10.1 billion, though this was down from $18 billion four years ago.
