Using structured products to bet on events such as Brexit can be risky

One-off political events such as the Brexit referendum and the US elections are "tough to bet on" and "difficult to monetise" using structured products, issuers have warned, recounting tales of investors who had called the right result but picked the wrong strategy for both events this year.
