Despite woeful reports in the news, financial institution losses have steadily decreased since June 2016. Lingering issues, such as the housing crisis in the US and tax evasion allegations in Switzerland, continue to take bites out of banks' reputations and bottom lines, but the pain appears to be easing – for now.
