A soft launch of the Packaged Retail and Insurance-based Investment Products (Priips) regime looks ever more likely, with European lawmakers threatening to vote down proposed rules that would put flesh on the bones of the new regime. Dealers have responded by reiterating calls for formal exemptive relief from the rules, saying the political wrangling is wrecking their preparations to comply with
