French regulator bears down on unlicensed brokers

The AMF has revealed it is monitoring a blacklist of more than 200 websites offering retail investment products without a licence, amid growing calls from structured products issuers for tighter oversight of the marketing of such investments to consumers

The Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) is pursuing at least 200 illegal investment websites offering unlicensed access to speculative financial products such as contracts-for-difference (CFDs), the French regulator's asset management chief has told Risk.net.
