Op risk needs to be at businesses' strategic table in order to prevent next crisis
Operational risk departments should be questioning business models within their firms, delegates at the OpRisk North America in New York heard last week. Craig Spielmann, global head of operational risk systems and analytics at RBS, told delegates that if operational risk units are to prevent the next crisis, they must be at the table when strategic business decisions are being discussed.
