Clive Banks, global head of foreign exchange and local market sales at BNP Paribas in London, has left the bank.

It is understood he is leaving the banking sector altogether to pursue personal business ventures. The departure comes less than a year after Banks was promoted to the newly created sales role in September 2010. He reported locally to Arne Groes, global head of fixed-income sales.
