Former CME employee charged with data theft
A former employee of CME Group has been arrested and charged with stealing data from the firm
CME Group, the largest US futures exchange operator, has confirmed one of its former employees has been charged with theft of trade secrets.
Chunlai Yang, a naturalised US citizen, is alleged to have downloaded thousands of files onto his computer and copied many of them onto removable storage devices. CME Group had been monitoring Yang's computer activity since May, when suspicions were first
