FIM establishes alternative investment unit
Finnish structured products provider FIM has establsihed a new business, FIM Alternative Investments. The unit’s products, which cater for both institutional and private investors, include capital protected structured products, as well as hedge funds and real estate funds.
Christer Schoultz, head of structured products at FIM, has been appointed head of the alternative investments unit. Schoultz will report to the managing director of FIM Asset Management, Jan Forsbom.
FIM has an exclusive partnership with Credit Suisse and has distributed hedge funds-linked products in the past. According to FIM, the market for capital protected structured products in Finland grew
