Goldman Sachs hires co-head from JP Morgan in New York

Bill Shelton, formerly co-head of JPMorgan’s third-party structured products distribution efforts in New York, has joined Goldman Sachs to develop a similar business, according to the Structured Products Association.

Shelton has been given the mandate to expand Goldman’s structured products business in the US and joined the firm last week after a brief gardening leave. JP Morgan continues to be the top issuer of structured products in the US by number of issues per month.
