JP Morgan recommends changes to Basel II NPR

JP Morgan Chase has set out to US regulators what it considers to be the main operational concerns over the interagency notice of proposed rulemaking (NPR) to implement a new risk-based capital framework based on Basel II.

In a November conference call with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, the Board of Governors, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, JP Morgan identified four main areas of concern and gave recommendations for an alternative approach.
