FSSCC plans exercise to test flu-pandemic preparedness

WASHINGTON DC – A business continuity exercise scheduled for the autumn will test firms' programmes through a complex and thought-provoking series of scenarios, according to a senior industry executive working on the project.

George Hender, chairman of the Financial Services Sector Coordinating Council for Critical Infrastructure Protection and Homeland Security (FSSCC), said in an interview with OpRisk&Compliance that the pandemic flu scenario was specifically chosen for this exercise because of the variety of elements that could be worked into the programme.
