Reuters' outages help competitors
NEW YORK – Reuters' recent outages may be contributing to increased interest in alternative datafeed solutions, industry sources told sister publication Inside Market Data .
The trend comes as rival Bloomberg begins a world tour of 15 cities to promote its data solutions, including the Server API and B-Pipe datafeed.
The outages affected data delivered via Reuters' IDN (Integrated Data Network) on August 23 and the vendor's Dealing 3000 system during Asian trading hours on September 8. Sources say they have led users to consider alternatives such as Interactive Data's
