Current moves to deal with corporate action risk have been prompted by straight-through processing and Sarbanes-Oxley , writes Choongo Moonga
The risk of making wrong investment decisions as a result of not being told, being told late or being told wrong information about a corporate action can be reduced by ISO 15022, an electronic messaging standard that is increasingly being used by securities industry players, according to industry observers.
