Five Hong Kong Banks Hit By Rogue Reuters Engineer

FIVE Hong Kong-based banks, including Jardine Fleming, Standard Chartered Bank and NatWest Markets, were hit last month by a new operational risk -- the rogue systems engineer.

In the first known instance of its kind, a disgruntled Reuters field engineer, acting alone, deliberately tampered with Triarch data distribution systems servers last month.
