An uphill climb to T+1 settlement

The SEC is pushing an aggressive schedule for faster settlement of equities and corporate bonds

Next year, on the Tuesday following the Memorial Day holiday weekend, US equity and corporate debt markets will move to T+1 settlement. But it’s not the Tuesday after a holiday weekend that the industry was asking for.
