SG CIB unveils cross asset research

Paris-based SG Corporate and Investment Banking, the corporate and investment banking arm of Société Générale, has combined its research capabilities to offer its customers cross-asset analysis spanning credit, equity, fixed income and foreign exchange derivatives.

“This is an innovative solution to market interaction based on a new way for our teams to work together,” said Jean-Pierre Mustier, chief executive of SG CIB. However, the bank is not merging its trading teams, a bank official said.

The new offering includes a monthly research report on sector risk that combines equity and equity derivative research and a cross asset trade report with trading ideas for equities, derivatives and credit default swaps. Other research includes a credit spread
