Custody Risk’s 13th annual custody mandates review saw $1.41 trillion awarded in 2014, dwarfing the previous year’s survey by some margin, with pension funds featuring most prominently in the list of clients changing their choice of asset-keeper.

In 2013, a quiet year in comparison, only $419 billion made it into Custody Risk’s final table of mandate wins. Northern Trust topped that list with a
