Citadel, Blackstone AAM, Hildene and SkyBridge were among the big winners at the Hedge Funds Review Americas Awards 2013. Paloma Partners' Donald Sussman received the lifetime achievement award
Hedge fund performance is a point of fascination for investors and market observers. For all their complexity and sophistication, hedge fund returns have lagged the S&P 500 index in each of the past five years. Critics see this as evidence that hedge funds are not worth their fees.
