European hedge fund managers looking to tap into the bubbling enthusiasm of the US investor base would do well to clone whatever products they have in a fund domiciled in the United States.

There will always be exceptions to the rule but, generally, the most direct route to US taxable assets is via Limited Liability Corporation or limited partnership format, according to industry observers.
