Facing difficulties

Investors are trying to seize opportunities, but the outlook of the current market is making it harder

Today is the 'nuclear winter' of investing after almost two solid decades of good returns, according to Martin Barnes, managing editor of the Bank Credit Analyst.


Noting that no one strategy looks particularly compelling now, Barnes says he is favouring corporate bonds, with spreads at the junk end of the credit spectrum looking relatively attractive.
