SG launches new long/short range

SG Asset Management is to launch a range of Dublin-domiciled long/short equity hedge funds, based on its existing range of long-only unit trusts.

The first fund is expected to be launched in March 2002 and will be a UK long/short hedge fund, managed by Peter Seabrook, head of UK equities.

SGAM intends to launch a full stable of the hedge fund products, including US and technology (to be managed by
