Cazenove poaches HSBC's UK/European retail team

UK stockbroker Cazenove is looking at launching a pan-European long/short portfolio for ex-HSBC Asset Management fund managers Tim Russell and Chris Rice.

The two were among five managers the group poached from HSBC's London-based retail fund management team earlier this month.

At HSBC, Russell ran the well-known long-only portfolio UK Growth & Income, which had £523m in assets under management
