von Meuffling to manage new fund

William von Meuffling, manager of both the Lazard European and Lazard Worldwide Opportunities funds, is to manage a forthcoming European smaller com-panies long-only fund.

The European hedge fund is up 21.18% at the end of August year to date, according to TASS Research figures and the global hedge fund that launched last month has closed already having raised assets of almost $450m.
