Focus on regional strategies brings value for investment managers

Following a strategy focused on a specific region gives managers a chance to concentrate on a specific universe of investment opportunities that can bring good returns for portfolios. Stephen Quigley and Jamie Wynn-Williams talk to managers running funds focused on Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, the Far East and the Americas.

Europe, often viewed as a region with low economic growth, is seen as a regional strategy where hedge funds find it more difficult to seek the alpha they desire. However, there are funds that believe the region has sufficient market movement to give the activity needed to generate this alpha.
