Former equity strategist reverses role for global fund and finds alpha

Framlington is what could be described as a giant boutique alternative investment manager within the AXA Group, the insurance and pension fund provider. Mark Tinker is the manager for one of AXA Framlington's absolute return funds, a global long/short hedge fund called Gemini that in April 2008 celebrated its first birthday.
