What is your understanding of the technology shortcomings that helped contribute to the ‘Flash Crash' of May 6?

In order to understand what went wrong from a technology perspective, I guess you have to step back and look at the industry as a whole. In general, nobody has been able to point to a single root cause of the event, but the one lesson we've learned is that the market structure we are in
