HKEx to look at commodity derivatives

The Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEx) is to study of the feasibility of trading commodity derivatives and climate-related products in Hong Kong. If approval is granted after the study the HKEx could start listing commodity-linked structured products.

A meeting was held today at HKEx and the proposed engagement to study the feasibility of developing such markets in Hong Kong was approved.

HKEx plans to invite interested parties for the study shortly.
