First hearing scheduled for EU's CAD

BRUSSELS – A hearing is scheduled for November 22 on the EU's Capital Adequacy Directive and related legislative text in the European parliament. It is the first hearing on the directive since the parliament reconvened after the elections, and the hearing will be taking place the week after the panel of EU commissioners is finalised.

Alexander Radwan, the MEP from Germany and rapporteur for the capital adequacy legislation, will preside. Although his office would not confirm the names of the speakers at the event, it is understood that a representative of the Federation of European Banks will be among the speakers.
