Tim Congdon, founder of the monetarist research company Lombard Street Research and one of the 'Wise Men' who advised the Chancellor of the Exchequer on economic policy between 1992 and 1997, has seen more than one economic cycle. A prolific author and contributor to a diverse range of publications since his retirement from LSR in 2005, he is also a member of the Shadow Monetary Policy
