FSA proposes new Training book

As part of its move towards more principles-based regulation, the UK Financial Services Authority (FSA) has set out proposals for a shorter and more outcome-focused Training and Competence (T&C) Sourcebook for retail firms and businesses.

The new sourcebook is founded on high-level rules and guidance, eliminating the more prescriptive requirements to simplify and streamline the sourcebook, while ensuring it complies with the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (Mifid).
