Polestar abandons deficit-ridden pension scheme

The UK's Pensions Regulator has given clearance to troubled printing firm Polestar to cast-off its deficit-ridden closed pension scheme, following a financial restructuring - the second time in 2006 that the regulator has allowed an underfunded scheme to exit without the promise it would inject enough capital in the future to fully eradicate the shortfall
