Norway tightens regulations on retail sales

Norway's financial supervisory authority Kredittilsynet has imposed more stringent rules on the sale of structured products to the retail market. The revised regulations, which came into effect on March 1, are intended to prevent financial institutions selling complex instruments to retail investors, who are not always aware of the investment risks, says the regulator.
