Orbeo acquires OneCarbon

French carbon trader Orbeo has bought global carbon project originator OneCarbon, a subsidiary of Dutch sustainable developer Econcern Group, for an undisclosed fee.

The transaction is expected to be finalised in the fourth quarter of 2009.

"By teaming up with OneCarbon, we want to build up a strong position in the carbon offset sourcing business," says Orbeo president Philippe Rosier.
